Heliodreams : Mediterranean Dream Studies

Inspired by a series of four original metallic watercolor paintings created in Pylos, Greece, Heliodreams explores the relationship between sunlight, color, perception, and transformation. Developed beneath the shifting Mediterranean sun, these works emerged through experiments with metallic watercolor pigments, evolving into a visual language that blends nature, mythology, symbolism, and dreams.

About the Artwork

Psyche captures a moment of transformation suspended in flight. Unfolding in luminous shades of pink, cream, gold, and soft greens, its wings echo the shifting colours of the Mediterranean sky, where light continuously reshapes the landscape.

In Ancient Greek, the word psyche means both "soul" and "butterfly," linking the natural world to the inner journey of growth and becoming. Delicate yet resilient, the butterfly has long symbolized transformation, emergence, and the unfolding of one's true nature.

Its symmetrical form creates a sense of balance and grace, while intricate markings and flowing contours suggest movement, freedom, and possibility. The design inhabits the space between what is and what is becoming—a reflection of the invisible changes that shape our lives.

Available in either full colour or black and grey, Psyche celebrates transformation, beauty, and the quiet strength required to evolve into something new.
