Heliodreams : Mediterranean Dream Studies

Inspired by a series of four original metallic watercolor paintings created in Pylos, Greece, Heliodreams explores the relationship between sunlight, color, perception, and transformation. Developed beneath the shifting Mediterranean sun, these works emerged through experiments with metallic watercolor pigments, evolving into a visual language that blends nature, mythology, symbolism, and dreams.

About the Artwork

Octopus Orchid merges the elegance of a rare orchid with the fluid intelligence of the sea. Its curling petals unfurl like tentacles drifting through water, creating a composition that feels both botanical and marine. Rich orange, luminous violets, and warm accents of green/gold evoke the colours of the Mediterranean, while the flowing forms suggest movement, adaptability, and hidden depths.

Inspired by the meeting place between land and sea, Octopus Orchid explores transformation through hybrid forms—where flower becomes creature, and nature slips effortlessly into the sureal. The design invites contemplation of intuition, mystery, and the unseen currents that shape our lives.

Available in either full colour or black and grey, Octopus Orchid balances delicacy and power, celebrating the imagination's ability to transform the familiar into something wondrous and unexpected.
