You Are Your Worst Enemy is an extension of my self-portrait In Lak'esh — I Am Another You (2010–2021), exploring the philosophy of interconnected consciousness through the fierce, transformative energy of Durga, the Hindu goddess associated with divine feminine power, protection, courage, and the triumph over destructive forces.

Situated within the 5th Dimension, the work explores a state of expanded awareness where the boundaries between self and other begin to dissolve. The Divine Feminine emerges as a force of transformation, challenging the illusion of separation and the inherited systems of belief that shape our collective reality.

Anger becomes fire—not simply an emotion to suppress, but a catalyst for awakening, capable of exposing injustice, confronting established structures, and cutting through illusion. Drawing upon Durga's fierce yet protective nature, this energy becomes an assertion of agency and the power to dismantle oppressive narratives. Destruction becomes an act of creation, clearing the way for new perspectives and possibilities.

The circular composition evokes cycles of destruction and renewal, while hand-embroidered beading and sequins by Olivia Spence introduce a reflective, tactile dimension to the printed surface.

At its core, the work confronts the paradox of our interconnected existence:

“If I do harm to you, I do harm to myself. If I love and respect you, I love and respect myself.”

We are not separate from the world we inhabit; we participate in its creation through our actions, perceptions, and collective consciousness. The Divine Feminine arrives as both a reckoning and an awakening—a refusal to remain silent within the illusions we have inherited.
